Following on from our success in MSIP’s Innovation Challenge, we are delighted to be the first ever winners of the Converge SSE Net Zero award, a stand-alone prize presented to the most promising net zero project from this year’s Converge cohort.  The Converge Challenge is Scotland’s largest entrepreneurial training programme and competition. The accolade, which includes £20,000 in equity-free cash and a package of in-kind benefits, was announced live by SSE Chief Executive, Alistair Phillips-Davies, at the annual Converge Awards on 30 September.

This is fantastic validation for our revolutionary technology. SSE’s help will enable us to bring Hydrowheel to market faster and help the transition to affordable, accessible, renewable energy.

“Receiving this award means so much to myself and the team, we are very proud that all our hard work is being recognised. We started with such a simple idea and we’ve made so much progress.  I am really looking forward to seeing this growth continue.  Here at Hydrowheel we are all working hard to develop our ideas and make amazing things happen.” – Ken Morrow (Hydrowheel Managing Director)
